The New Business Development Coordinator is responsible for developing account leads and nurturing them into new business prospects that eventually become clients. The new business development coordinator will source leads from industry information and research and set up a database of contacts as well as reach out through various forms of communication. In addition, the New Business Development Coordinator will maintain a comprehensive file of agency proposals, presentations and case studies.
General Job Duties:
- Responsible for the development of new business accounts, while upholding the mission and values of the agency.
- Works to build prospects/contacts through existing clients and through the Account Service group.
- Initiates and manages effective relationships with developed leads on a continuous basis. Gain opportunities for agency to make agency presentations and pitches to targeted prospects.
- Researches, analyzes and monitors financial, technological and demographic factors to capitalize on market/new business opportunities.
- Evaluates market research and adjusts new business strategies to meet changing market and competitive conditions.
- Organize and manage all activities in preparation for presentations (using appropriate agency resources), including: background reading on prospect; samples of all prospect literature and advertising competitive advertising; competitive agency background, or other materials as deemed necessary- or helpful by sales manager or agency principals.
Qualifications:
- 2-5 years industry related marketing experience preferred.
- Bachelor’s degree in business administration, marketing or communications preferred or equivalent experience.
- Interest/experience in advertising/multicultural agency setting preferred.
- Excellent management, promotional, research, analytical, writing, organizational and presentation skills.
- Ability to make independent decisions involving discretion and judgment.
- Ability to build long term relationships with prospects and customers.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills; a professional yet easygoing writing style and an excellent command of grammar and punctuation.
- Ability to analyze data, make sound observations/recommendations and drive future analysis.
- Proven ability to work effectively in a demanding, deadline-driven environment.
- Proven ability to work successfully as a team player.
- Inquisitive and intuitive / perceptive to client needs.
- Ability to work with grace and efficiency under pressure.
- Strong time management, multi-tasking and organizational skills.
